The Juice and Smoothie difference

There is much discussion about the benefits of juicing and blending. While both techniques produce delicious, nutritious drinks; however, the process makes them very different. More than 50% of our power foods for daily energy, stamina, concentration can be found in plant based foods. The body needs a certain amount of dietary fiber for proper digestion. To ensure the body receives fuel that reaches the cellular structure its imperative to consume wholesome juices and smoothies. Plants encourages our body to heal, to rebuild and restore itself.

Juicing

Juice is the liquid of the plant, as many often call the healing juice. Juicing removes fiber and some of the protein from the plants. Your body's digestive system doesn't have to "work" as hard to absorb the nutrients from your juice, allowing the blood stream to get nutrition more easily. Consuming raw juices allows your body to detox a more gentler way, supporting its own cleansing process. Juicing has a special purpose when it comes to certain health conditions. Juicing can be valuable to people who have need easily-digestible drinks due to digestive sensitivities. Diabetics for consideration, sometimes benefit more from juiced vegetables more than juiced fruits due to the faster absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream.

Blending

Please keep in mind, blending doesn't remove any fiber from the produce. We believe juicing and blending has its proper place in serving nutrition to the body. Just as much as we love cold-pressed juicing there's excitement for making smoothies. Unlike juicing where the "pulp" is left behind, the entirety of the food is blended into a liquid. The fiber of the food is broken down but not lost. Unlike the extracted juice being absorb quickly into the bloodstream, your digestive system is put to work in a gentler process of digesting and metabolizing the fiber. Blended produce will give you a longer satisfied feeling. Blended drinks can be a plus for diabetics, because of the slower process of nutrient absorption into the bloodstream.

We hope this brief article shared some insight on the beauty of juicing and blending. Our menu is filled with a therapeutic array of pressed juices and smoothies all made from organic produce.

Blessings
